In addition to Dr. Majid AlSadi’s varied business interests, he has continually been involved in philanthropic and humanitarian campaigns to help the less privileged. This commitment reflects the integrity of the man at the helm of Eastern Holding, who wants to give back to society and make a difference in the lives of many.

Some of his major engagements in Jordan have been through initiatives of Her Majesty, Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. For example, The Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans and the Queen Rania Family and Child Center; and The Jordan Media Institute under Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali.  Dr. AlSadi was also a patron of the Mineseeker foundation alongside Queen Noor of Jordan.

Dr Alsadi’s own initiatives have included numerous scholarship contributions through the Majid Alsadi Scholarship Foundation at Coventry University (UK) and the current Changing Lives Program – an initiative of the Majid Alsadi Foundation.

The Changing Lives program aims to challenge perceptions of the Arab world, its peoples and cultures. It does this by bringing Western university students to the Arab world to engage with grassroots organisations and gain a first-hand understanding of the Arab world and the issues it faces. Changing Lives also aims to give local youth inspirational opportunities and support towards a brighter future. By building the capacity of local organisations, Changing Lives seeks to support progressive open and professional social work with the capacity to influence broader social trends.
